Earlsfield School Performance in Tooting Nursing Home
31st July 2014
Over 30 children from Earlsfield school attended nursing home Brendoncare Ronald Gisbson House based in South London Tooting. They performed classics and popular songs which included Get Lucky by Pharrell Williams, Eye of the Tiger by Survivor and Shine by Take That. They were very entertaining as they sang, danced and did air guitars as residents happily sang and clapped along. Our resident Steven said “They were brilliant and I hope they will return”.
Teacher Josie Yeung also stated “Year 5 had a wonderful time singing the decades at Ronald Gibson House. The children thoroughly enjoyed performing to the residents and staff and we were made to feel so welcome. We hope to return to perform again in the future!”
Ronald Gibson House comprises a nursing home caring for 24 physically frail older people, a 16 bed wing for people with dementia and a 16 bed intermediate care unit run in partnership with Wandsworth Clinical Care Commissioning Group.
Brendoncare has an enviable reputation for innovation and delivery of quality care to older people across the south. It operates 10 care centres and runs 70 social clubs for older people across Hampshire and Dorset.
