National Volunteers’ Week

1-7 June 2015 is National Volunteers’ Week and here at Brendoncare we are taking this opportunity to thank all our amazing volunteers, without whom we couldn’t deliver many of our services which support older people across the South of England.

Volunteers touch every part of Brendoncare – running our clubs, supporting services in care homes, providing companionship and helping with activities.

One of our managers explained: “Brendoncare is enriched and enlivened by its fabulous volunteers. They give their time so generously each week to bring laughter, fun and conversation to all our residents.” A big thank you to all of our volunteers for everything you do.

If you have some time to spare, or have a skill you would like to share with others, we would love to hear from you. We are always looking for passionate, caring people to get involved in our care homes and friendship clubs. You can see our current opportunities in the volunteering section of our website or come and meet us at the following events:

  • Tuesday 2 June: West Quays, Southampton
  • Wednesday 3 June between 12pm and 3pm: Castlepoint, Bournemouth
  • Thursday 4 June: The Dolphin Centre, Poole (we will be in the old Stead & Simpson shop)
