Ronald Gibson House Residents enjoy a visit to Brighton Beach
31st August 2014
Residents from Tooting based care home, Ronald Gibson House enjoyed a trip to the seaside at the end of August when they went on a day out to Brighton beach. A typical British summer day, the weather was a mix of sunshine and showers however staff were well equipped with umbrellas so the rain did not spoil all the fun.
Residents were taken to the Palm Court restaurant on the pier where they tucked into healthy sized plates of battered fish and chips and some even enjoyed a glass of champagne with their meal.
After the meal the weather improved and residents had a chance to look at the scenery and go for a stroll by the beach. One resident stated “I love the view and all the bright lights in the arcade".
Ronald Gibson House comprises a nursing home caring for 24 physically frail older people, a 16 bed wing for people with dementia and a 16 bed intermediate care unit run in partnership with Wandsworth Clinical Care Commissioning Group.
