Located in leafy Chandler’s Ford, Brendoncare Knightwood offers residential and respite care in a supportive setting that encourages residents to live as independently as they wish.
Brendoncare Knightwood Court residential care home offers 20 en-suite bedrooms. All are located on the building’s ground floor and arranged as one household, giving it a homely feel.
Each room features a 24-hour nurse call system, with call points located in both the bedroom and the en-suite shower room.
All the bedrooms are decorated to a high standard, with residents encouraged to bring their own personal items, bringing familiarity and comfort. All rooms have a patio allowing you direct access outdoors, and many residents decorate their own garden area.
Assisted bathrooms and wheelchair accessible showers are available.
Brendoncare Knightwood provides residential, respite, and end-of-life care.
Residents receive personalised care services tailored to their individual needs, delivered by experienced carers who are available 24 hours a day.
Residential care alleviates the stresses and strains of managing your own home. Support is always available to assist with everyday tasks. Residents enjoy their day as they choose, perhaps participating in activities or spending time quietly in their rooms, the gardens, or the communal areas.
Respite care provides short-term support to individuals recovering from an illness, hospital stay, or when caregivers take a break, and it can be booked up to three months in advance.
End-of-life care supports those in the last months or years of their lives, enabling them to continue living with dignity.
Brendoncare Knightwood Court offers a range of facilities and services designed to make residents feel entirely at home.
There are lounge and dining areas where you can relax, a restaurant, a hair salon, and a shop stocked with everyday items and luxuries, as well as a library with books to suit all tastes and interests.
There are also elegantly furnished patios overlooking the mature four acres of grounds and gardens, providing perfect places to soak up the sunshine and spot the visiting wildlife, including ducks and deer.
Food and drink play an essential role in our daily lives. Our chef managers and catering teams work closely with residents, staff, and professionals to accommodate any specific likes and dislikes, dietary and allergy requirements, or cultural/spiritual needs.
The varied menus offered in the spacious, sunny restaurant always include healthy, wholesome, appetising food, with snacks and drinks available anytime. We have the top food hygiene rating of 5 from the Food Standards Agency.
Wellbeing coordinators focus solely on supporting the quality of life for each resident. They organise a varied range of activities – from fitness classes to quizzes, board games, and manicures, as well as visits from local schools and specialist groups. They also arrange activities to celebrate special occasions, including birthdays, Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas.

I am pleased to be General Manager for Knightwood and Meadway. I have worked within the health and social care sector for around 13 years in various roles and organisations across Hampshire.
One thing that stood out to me about Brendoncare was the values of the charity that I felt resonated with me. I enjoy spending my time with residents and colleagues across both sites, and feel proud to work for a charity that truly values person-centred care.
