Brendoncare volunteers - adding quality to care
We are committed to delivering care that is truly person-centred, tailored specifically to the distinctive health and social needs of each resident or club member. Crucial to this is the high quality of our staff and volunteers.
In the care centres, volunteers make a special and valuable contribution in complementing the range of services provided by the staff. They play a significant part in delivering really high standards of care, and offer residents much-needed companionship, friendship and stimulation as well as more diverse activities such as running shops, help with activities, email tuition and cold baking.
Volunteers are also the lifeblood of Brendoncare Clubs. A team of around 400 volunteers keep the clubs running and help enrich the lives of over 2,000 older people who enjoy them greatly. They organise and run the clubs, arrange transport, serve refreshments and much more.
Brendoncare has gained the ‘Investing in Volunteers’ accreditation, becoming one of the first organisations in the country to win this recognition for its commitment to volunteers.
