Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill staff are rated ‘Good’ by the CQC

The dedicated team at Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill have recently transferred from Brendoncare The Old Parsonage. In a recent CQC inspection the team was rated as ‘Good’.

In the report published recently, the inspector observed that the staff were caring and attentive and treated residents with dignity and respect. Staff were very knowledgeable about residents’ needs and approached their role with enthusiasm and confidence. They were aware of residents’ preferences and routines and care was provided to reflect this.

The CQC also recognised close links to the local community which helped to provide support, activities and comfort to residents. Residents were involved in developing the service, including influencing menu choices and activities they wished to try.

Tina Manterfield, the General Manager, commented “The latest CQC report highlights that the team who have transferred to Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill are all committed and dedicated members of staff. I am proud of everyone who works here and their determination to support each resident in the best way possible for their own individual needs”.

Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill offers three core services: ; a 64 bed care home offering specialist nursing and dementia care, respite and end of life care;  20 purpose-built apartments for individuals and couples affected by dementia, enabling them to live together in their own home with ‘shared’ care, respite and emergency support available 24 hours a day; and a dementia-friendly community and resource hub providing a dynamic and friendly space for residents and people from the local community.
