New Manager at Brendoncare Meadway

Hampshire-based charity The Brendoncare Foundation is pleased to announce that Mandy Gilbert has been promoted to Home Manager, for its residential care home in Winchester.

Mandy has been working at Brendoncare Meadway as a Deputy Manager for the past year. She started work at Brendoncare as a carer in May 2015 and has spent the past few years studying for her NVQ level 3 qualification. She is also qualified in first aid and has completed the senior care course.

Prior to working at Brendoncare, Mandy was the proprietor of the Dolphin Inn at Hursley and has spent many years in the hospitality trade.

In her spare time, Mandy enjoys weekends away in her VW camper and spending time with her family.

Mandy is fully committed to Brendoncare and the residents and demonstrates Brendoncare’s values in her everyday working practice. She commented “I am passionate about my new role and feel privileged to be leading a dedicated team, who put residents at the heart of everything they do”.

Brendoncare Meadway provides a home where the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment of life for the residents. The staff are on hand to provide dedicated and compassionate care around the clock.

The 13 spacious rooms all feature en-suite facilities or a private bathroom. Most rooms enjoy a view of the attractively landscaped gardens. The communal areas are spacious and welcoming, providing a homely feel for residents and their visitors.

Brendoncare Meadway is located in a quiet residential area of Winchester, about a mile from the centre of Winchester and its facilities.
