Forging links with the local community

Care Home Open Day is a national event taking place this year on Friday 16 June.

Of course our care homes are always open and welcoming – but the national day is very much about taking an opportunity to highlight the great things that happen every day in care homes.

In Brendoncare, a big part of what makes services special are the relatives, friends, volunteers and visitors – all part of the wider care home family - and the links that are forged with them and the local community. In each of our ten care homes staff, residents, volunteers and friends have been planning special events to mark Care Home Open Day and most of all to have some fun together.

On that day we are hoping to welcome many visitors, making new connections and friendships with our neighbours and local communities. For our amazing, caring staff teams it is a day to celebrate their work and the fantastic contribution they make everyday to enhancing the lives of residents who need their care and support.
