Care Home Open Week reminds people that every Brendoncare home is filled with wonderful characters, and run by special people that really do care. Come and take a closer look at our care homes and find out why people want to work for Brendoncare.

Care Home Open Week at Brendoncare gives people the chance to visit our care homes and explore a wide variety of career opportunities across our organisation. Our homes are welcoming new admissions, and we’re booking tours of our homes, whilst our recruitment team can conduct interviews in a Covid-safe way.

We are delighted to be part of this special celebration marked across the UK by lots of different homes.

This year, Care Home Open Week runs from June 28th until July 4th, hosted by Championing Social Care.

Visiting Brendoncare

Suppose you’d like to look around any of our care homes. In that case, we’re delighted to offer you a personal tour, conducted either in-person, via video call, or on a specially-filmed 360-degree tour which is growing in popularity.

Brendoncare has made virtual tours available to everyone during lockdown whilst homes across England were closed to visitors. A virtual tour has been a welcome solution for many, especially those self-isolating or unable to travel. So much so that we will offer this service for as long as it is requested.

Meanwhile, our immersive tours are a great way to view our homes at your own pace and to spend time looking at what matters most to you. We currently have on-demand tours available for two of our Hampshire care homes, in Alton and Otterbourne Hill, with more due to go live soon.

More often than not, we know people welcome talking to us over the phone or at one of our homes in a Covid-safe space. If you’d like to arrange a personalised video tour around any of our other homes, please call us 0300 303 4866. Alternatively, you can send us email homes@brendoncare.org.uk.

Many of our care homes have their own Facebook pages. We feel social media is a good way of keeping relatives up to date with life in our homes and sharing our staff’s fantastic work.

Each Brendoncare home prides itself on being at the heart of its community. From the content our in-home teams share regularly, it’s easy to see why we place kindness, dignity and respect at the heart of everything we do.

Facebook also allows everyone to feel connected to our services, and the popular Messenger function gives people with questions about our care services a familiar place to start a conversation.

Brendoncare doesn’t pay profits to shareholders, and any surpluses are invested back into improving services and delivering our innovative ‘Care for Life’ promise, which means that no one will have to leave their Brendoncare home if their financial situation changes.

We support around 20% of our residents in this way, and it’s something we’re happy to discuss on an individual basis.
