The Brendoncare Foundation introduces another pay rise which takes all its colleagues to real Living Wage levels and above.

This increase in April 2023 follows on from its pay rises last November to help Brendoncare’s colleagues with the current cost of living.

The latest increases of three per cent will result in all 603 Brendoncare colleagues earning at least the recommended real Living Wage level of £10.90 an hour. Many will earn more than that.

Aileen Ohlson, Brendoncare’s Director of People and Culture, says:

“Brendoncare is constantly looking at ways in which to support colleagues, making everyone working for us feel fairly rewarded. We are delighted to announce that we are now offering the real Living Wage for all our colleagues.

“We will continue to work on how we introduce more benefits and how we support everyone to be able to develop and value being part of the Brendoncare community.”

Brendoncare’s new hourly rate will be available to all colleagues, irrespective of their age or years of service. It also includes those who have recently joined or are about to start work with the Foundation.

Colleagues working at care homes are already entitled to receive a free meal. This can be either a hot or packed lunch-style meal each time they work, regardless of their role or length of shift.

Among the other benefits Brendoncare provides to its colleagues is membership to the Blue Light Card. This gives access to more than 15,000 discounts for people working in the care industry.
