Brendoncare is a registered charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people through our care homes and community clubs. Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill is designed to a high standard to provide support for individuals and couples with nursing and dementia care needs.
Brendoncare Otterbourne Court is a new care home in Hampshire, nestled in the village of Otterbourne. The residential home provides both nursing and dementia care for up to 64 residents in a family-like environment, filled with opportunities for friendship and a sense of community.
For a home-from-home feel, Otterbourne Court is divided into smaller households of 16 bedrooms. Our experience over the last 35 years has shown that these smaller households create a lovely family-like atmosphere. At Otterbourne Court, each household includes a selection of communal areas and facilities where you can socialise with other residents. There are also other spaces for quieter occupations and tranquillity.
The layout of the households has been specifically designed to help people find their way around easily. Outside, the gardens and terraces are a real feature.
An array of activities is offered based on what residents enjoy, whilst the adjoining community hub provides further facilities for friendship, community and family dining.
Our extra care approach means that couples can remain together but are supported by our onsite, experienced care team, as and when required.
Brendoncare Otterbourne Mews offers residential accommodation with a full range of care and support, which can be designed around each couple’s needs. This includes help with washing, dressing and household tasks such as cooking and cleaning. Other help can include personal care and support for activities and recreation, allowing partners the opportunity to go out knowing their loved one is cared for and safe.
Respite care is available in the care home, subject to a room being available, allowing partners some time to enjoy a break or simply manage their own needs for a short period. Alternative support can be put in place if there is no respite room available. You can find out more about respite at Brendoncare homes here.
Care can be provided as long as the resident’s condition allows this to be safely carried out in their own home and is subject to additional costs. If a resident is no longer able to be supported in their apartment, the care home offers an onsite alternative; their partner is still living in the same building and is able to continue being fully involved in their care on a daily basis.
Brendoncare Otterbourne Mews offers 15 two-bedroom and five one-bedroom apartments for rent, all of which are fully accessible and designed to a high standard to support people living with dementia. Communal features include two shared lounges, a balcony and terrace for residents and their visitors to enjoy.
The onsite community hub will offer a wide range of facilities and activities for socialising and will be a real focal point of life at Brendoncare Otterbourne Mews.
Additional costs may apply for some hub services.

The community hub at Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill supports both residents living on the site and people living in the local area.
The hub offers a range of services for individuals and families to enjoy, including a restaurant, hairdressing salon and space for film showings, with a regular schedule of dementia-friendly clubs and activities. There is lots of outside space and features including a bowling green and an indoor winter garden bring joy during the darker months of the year.
“Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill is absolutely fantastic. The staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. They go that extra mile to help. I know my mother is safe and well looked after. I am very impressed with the level of activities and the work that is put in around this. Every effort is made to support and encourage residents. It’s just like one big happy family.”

“The quality of care shown throughout my mother’s stay but particularly towards the end was most impressive.”

“As a close relative, I cannot emphasise enough the positive impact that this move to Otterbourne has made to my aunt’s well-being and quality of life…The staff are knowledgeable and professional and are always on hand to chat and reassure us as a family. We know my aunt is in safe hands and that all her needs are being met. My aunt is now safe and happy in the company of other lovely residents whom she meets at lunchtime in the restaurant (the food is outstanding) and during the varied activity programme.
This is a safe and wonderful place to live where people can enjoy life and where we can rely on staff at all times to care for our relative. We cannot express our gratitude to the outstanding team at Otterbourne.”
