It depends on the role but for example a Care Assistant does not necessarily require experience, it’s about showing an interest in the care community and making a difference for others.

For most of the roles you will apply online, should we want to take your application receive a call to find out more about yourself and why you would like to work for us. Should you be shortlisted, there will be interview with the hiring manager. Then of course the final stage is the offer!
Some other job roles may require presentation or a second interview but you will be told in advance of this.
We asked some of our Care Assistants from our Knightwood home to share their thoughts on working for Brendoncare.

Don’t be put off if you have little or no experience, we have schemes such as our “New to Care Extended Induction” for new care assistants that gives you further training..
In addition we have a “Buddy Scheme” in homes where you are partnered with an existing member of staff who you will shadow and have the ability to ask lots of questions until you are confident to work independently.
Research organisations, are they non for profit or a corporation? If you get a chance to visit the homes, see what the atmosphere is like is it friendly and welcoming? Can you see yourself working there?

At Brendoncare we like to support our staff in being able to develop which is why we offer the ability to carry out qualifications such as the NVQ.
We also offer the ability for staff to change either similar roles or promotions. This includes the opportunity to move across homes too!
We have various shifts available including ones that can work around school or college hours, on weekends and in the evenings. We also offer bank shifts which are flexible in that you are offered various shifts that you can either accept or decline. For more information give us a call or send us an email.
