Club of the Month – Wimborne Kings Head Pub Quiz

What can be nicer than enjoying a get-together, exercising the brain cells and having fun in a beautiful historic hotel in the centre of a charming Dorset town!

That’s exactly what the members and volunteers of the Wimborne Kings Head Pub Quiz Club enjoy every Thursday morning between 10.30am and midday.

With last Friday being National Train Your Brain Day, there is nothing better than having a chance to test your general knowledge in a pub quiz, where everyone’s a mastermind and an egghead.

There are questions on a wide range of subjects so everyone’s knowledge is always useful to their teams, especially when there are prizes on offer to the winners.

Not just that, the 200 year old Kings Head is one of Wimborne’s most famous building, overlooking the Market Square, making it the perfect place to meet for morning coffee.

Club Support Sandra Turner says: “It’s a great way to make new friends. The teams are made up when you arrive, so don’t worry, you don’t need to be in a team already. Rest assured, you will receive a very warm welcome, refreshments and a chance to win a small prize if you are on the winning team. There’s always laughter and a lovely atmosphere.

The club is particularly grateful to hotel manager, Trefor Squire and his team, who give them the room for free, and supply hot water for their teas and coffees.
