Christmas is approaching, but this year we are all having to do things a little differently.
In place of our popular Christmas Carol Concert at Winchester College, we will be holding our first-ever virtual Christmas concert. Sponsored by Paris Smith, and hosted by TV favourite Alastair Stewart; the concert will feature our residents, club members, volunteers, staff and supporters.
While the virtual concert is free to attend, we will be welcoming donations towards The Big Give, an annual donation-matching campaign. Between the 1st and 8th December, any donation to Brendoncare will be DOUBLED by generous sponsors. You can make a pledge to Brendoncare here
Since March, when all 94 of our clubs were forced to close, Brendoncare has been running a free Community Support Service, making over 11,000 contacts to club members and volunteers needing our support through the crisis.
We aim to combat the loneliness that older people in our communities are facing this winter, continuing this telephone and digital support, running virtual clubs and Christmas parties and delivering food to the most vulnerable.
Brendoncare’s community work offers a vital lifeline of friendship and support throughout the year, and this year – more than ever – we want to be there for everyone that needs us.
