Stildon Mews in Dorset Way, East Grinstead, comprises 11 high specification two bedroom ‘close care’ apartments adjoining the nursing home. Close Care provides the independence and security associated with home ownership, together with access to personal care and support services if and when it is needed.
During the inspection in November, the CQC rated the home ‘good’ in all five criteria of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led. It reported that people were supported by staff that knew them well, understood their needs and treated them as an individual.
The CQC observed staff treating people with dignity, sensitivity and respect. Staff supported people to make decisions about their care and welfare and they were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives.
The CQC also recognised that the service was well led and the clear vision and values were embedded in the care given and in the conduct of staff.
Naomi Butcher, the General Manager, commented “The latest CQC report on Brendoncare Stildon Mews recognises the commitment and dedication of all members the team. I am proud of everyone who works here and their determination to support each resident to meet their individual needs.”
