Brendoncare Stildon’s Care Assistant Marie Clemens is a finalist in the Great British Care Awards

Winchester-based charity, The Brendoncare Foundation, is pleased to announce that Marie Clemens, a Care Assistant at its East Grinstead care home Brendoncare Stildon, has been nominated as a finalist for the Care Home Worker Award category within the Great British Care Awards.

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK, celebrating excellence in the care sector. The awards pay tribute to individuals and teams who are recognised as outstanding within their field of work.

Winners of the Great British Care Awards will be presented with their awards at a Gala dinner on 9th November at the Hilton Hotel in Brighton.

Marie has been recognised for her commitment to individual care and attention to residents. She is always warm and approachable with residents and relatives and even in her own time, will visit residents if they are in hospital. She has been a Care Assistant for three years at Brendoncare Stildon and loves the role as she enjoys being able to help people.

Brendoncare Stildon is a care home in Dorset Way, East Grinstead, providing care and support for up to 32 people who have personal care and nursing needs, some of whom are living with dementia or chronic conditions. Its aim is to help older people live independent, happy and fulfilling lives.

In her spare time Marie enjoys singing, cooking and sewing. She is very family orientated and loves spending time with her children and grandchildren.
