Brendoncare Clubs, run by Winchester based charity, The Brendoncare Foundation is delighted to announce the launch of a new virtual club in Westbourne.
The Westbourne Virtual Club is a combination of the Westbourne Pub Club and the Westbourne Kurling Club, and is being led by two volunteers, both called Pat. It is taking place on Thursdays from 10:30am to 11:30am. There is always lots of chat and laughter and a fun activity too. But there’s always time for tea and cake!
Brendoncare Club Member, Molly, in her 80s, was recently helped to get online said,
“I’m so proud of myself. I feel like I’ve achieved something. Wait until I tell my daughter and friends! It’s hard when you live on your own and you have no one to help you with technology or ask questions. Thank you for your help”.
Sandra Turner, Brendoncare Club Support Dorset, said,
“It was wonderful to be able to help Molly get online. The sheer delight in her face when she succeeded was heart-warming. She was so keen to learn so she could join in with the Westbourne Virtual Club, as she has really missed her friends. I would like to thank my colleague, Natalie Russell, who also helped Molly.
“The Westbourne Virtual Club is new and it would be lovely to see more faces, so please do get in touch if you would like to join in the fun.
“Natalie Russell, Brendoncare Club Support, is going to start a New To Zoom Club on Friday afternoons, where members can brush up on their skills. If this is something that interests you, please let us know.”
