Our latest Fundraising Star of the Month is Mollie Pittaway, who has been supporting the Fundraising team as an Intern since December. Mollie has been working with the Trusts and Grants Fundraisers, and secured a fantastic grant of almost £1,500 for the Clubs Access Fund.
Mollie says: “I believe every older person deserves the opportunity to join a Brendoncare club, to make new friends and feel like a part of the community. This is what the grant will go towards – an Access Fund which allows those who don’t have the means to still be able to join.”
The grant, from the Unum Community Fund, will enable Brendoncare Clubs to offer support to members through the Access Fund, helping with the cost of attending their club. In a recent blog post, club member Irene wrote about what the Access Fund means to her. (Read Irene’s story here)
Mollie went on to say how much she has enjoyed her time with Brendoncare. “The Fundraising Team have been absolutely brilliant, they are so kind and thoughtful, always asking me if I need help with anything. Their confidence in me drives me to do my best.”
The team have loved having Mollie working with them, and Natalie Russell, Fundraising Officer, told us: “Mollie has been a real star, her writing skills are amazing and I know she will go on to have a brilliant career as a Trust Fundraiser.”
Thank you Mollie for all you have done for Brendoncare! To read our other news stories, please click here
