New Manager at Brendoncare Knightwood

Prior to her promotion Charlotte Gilbert, 28, had been working at Brendoncare Knightwood as acting general manager for four months. Before that she worked as deputy manager at Brendoncare Knightwood, deputy manager at Brendoncare Meadway and care assistant at Brendoncare Park Road. She started her caring career when she was 16; working part-time in caring whilst undertaking a health and social care course at college where she gained a NVQ 2 Diploma. She has since achieved a Level 5 Diploma in leadership for health and social care and children and young people’s services QCF, amongst other qualifications.

Charlotte had this to say, “I am delighted to be offered the post of General Manager. I have relished the past few months as acting general manager and saw it as a massive opportunity for me. I aimed to keep a consistent service and environment for all residents and staff. It also gave me the chance to put my stamp on what I felt we had to focus on, such as activities and residents interactions with each other as well as staff. These are all going well and we have been receiving really lovely feedback.

“I am looking forward to this new challenge. I am very passionate about the care of the elderly and also have a strong passion for end of life care. Anything that we can do to achieve a better outcome or life for anyone is what we will do.”

In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys football. She describes herself as a big football fan, her team being Southampton where she was born and raised. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
