Hampshire-based charity The Brendoncare Foundation will be welcoming visitors to its care homes across the south of England, to mark National Care Home Open Day and to celebrate the Queen’s birthday, on Saturday 21 April 2018.
As part of a UK-wide initiative encouraging care homes to invite the public to see for themselves what care homes are about, Brendoncare homes have a variety of activities and special events planned.
This year’s theme is ‘Linking Communities’ and each of the homes will be celebrating in many different ways with a variety of events and activities. These include Miller’s Ark animals visiting Brendoncare Park Road in Winchester, a brass band performing at Brendoncare Alton, morris dancers performing at Brendoncare Ronald Gibson House in Tooting, and “A Right Royal Welcome at Woodhayes Palace” at Brendoncare Woodhayes in Exeter. There will be a whole host of entertainment across all of Brendoncare’s homes and anyone from the local community is welcome to join in.
More information about Care Home Open Day can be found at www.carehomeopenday.org.uk and any additional enquiries about Brendoncare’s plans for the day are welcome on 01962 852133.
