Residents and staff at Brendoncare Park Road have been enjoying music, Shakespeare and picnics in their beautiful gardens.
The staff are always thinking of innovative ways to keep the residents’ spirits high by organising a variety of activities and entertainment. The residents have shared laughter, joking and dancing and more recently they have been spending time in the sunshine in the beautiful gardens at the care home.
On a recent occasion in the garden, the residents welcomed entertainer, Mike Sidaway, who sang various songs from Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Mat Monroe. Following a request from a resident, he also sang a song from Engelbert Humperdink! The residents joined in with the singing too!
Erin Langley, Home Manager at Brendoncare Park Road, said:
“Our residents really enjoy being outside in the sunshine and we are hoping there will be many more opportunities as the days get warmer. It’s lovely seeing their smiling faces and watching them singing along to familiar tunes.
“The staff at Brendoncare Park Road do a fabulous job in caring for our residents and making every day special for them. I am proud of every one for their commitment to every individual who lives here with us.”
