Ana Lazar, Deputy Manager, is a finalist in the Good Nurse Award category. She has been recognised for her caring and selfless nature with the residents. She is a positive role model and a much respected member of the care team at Brendoncare Park Road. She said,
“I am very proud to work for such an amazing company as Brendoncare that always puts residents’ best interests first and also in Park Road I feel very valued and very well supported by my Manager and my team at all times. I feel like we are all a little family and we support each other, especially through this difficult time that we are now facing.”
Bally Sahota, Receptionist, is a finalist in the Ancillary Worker Award category. She joined the Brendoncare Park Road in 2019 and is recognised for her dedication and commitment. She always goes the extra mile and her aim is always to make residents happy. She is adored by all. She had this to say,
“Brendoncare Park Road is a wonderful place to work, we are a great team and have the loveliest residents. Each day here I enjoy the energy we all bring to Park Road and it drives me to work harder and most importantly to help everyone the best I can.”
Emelia Slater, Senior Care Assistant, is a finalist in the Frontline Leaders Award category. She is recognised for her clinical skills and person-centred approach to the residents at Brendoncare Park Road. She is a big support to her colleagues and a much respected member of the care team. She said,
“I learn something new every day and every day is different; I am so pleased to be working with such an amazing team at Park Road.”
The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional awards throughout the UK, celebrating excellence in the care sector. The awards pay tribute to individuals and teams who are recognised as outstanding within their field of work.
This year, judging will be via online interviews and will take place in November. Winners of the Great British Care Awards will be presented with their awards at a Gala Evening in April 2021 at The Hilton Hotel, Brighton.

Brendoncare Park Road provides nursing, respite and end-of-life care to 40 older people in Winchester. It is located in a tranquil part of Winchester and has attractive mature gardens.
