Staying connected with Zoom
As summer ends, we will start to spend more time indoors. As a result, seeing our family and friends in person will become more difficult. At Brendoncare, we would like to help you connect with your loved ones using online services such as Zoom.
If you’ve never used Zoom before or feeling rusty, we’re here to help you get set up. We can even loan you a device!
In September, our Digital Connections Team is dedicating an entire week to Zoom related training and topics. Whether you have used Zoom before or not, you can join us to improve your skills during our Zoom Week (September 18th – 22nd).
Yildizhan will run a session on a different topic every day. What is more, you can attend all of them or just the ones you find interesting.
Just click on each of the titles of the sessions to find out more and reserve your place.
Hello Zoom: An Introduction to the Basic Functions, at 3pm on Monday 18th September
Picture Perfect Zoom: Changing Your Picture and Background, at 10.30am on Tuesday 19th September
Zoomvitations: Setting Up Meetings and Inviting Others, at 3pm on Wednesday 20th September

What is more, we will randomly select a member attending at least one workshop as the winner of a £20 M&S gift voucher.
And there’s much more to tell you.
We also have two drop-in sessions in September where we can answer all your internet related questions.
Just click on these links to book your place and receive a reminder.

If you are completely new to Zoom, don’t worry; we can still support you!
Please call us at 01962 857099 or email clubs@brendoncare.org.uk. One of our team members will help you set up Zoom and show you how to start using it.
As part of our Digital Connection programme, Yildizhan has been out and about visiting club members to talk about their digital needs and also introducing them to a variety of skills.
On Thursday 14th September at 10.30am, Yildizhan will be at the Westbourne Pub Club where she will talk about lesser known features on WhatsApp such as group and voice messaging as well as answering members’ IT related questions.
Don’t forget to check our blog for the new updates about the activities we have planned in October, when we will celebrate the national Get Online Week!
