"My attention was first drawn to The Old Parsonage in 2008, when looking for a trial home for my mother. There was no comparison in any of the other homes we visited. The Old Parsonage was warm, friendly and smelled nice. Mum had a week’s respite care and then moved in; she was happy there.
“It seemed natural to become a volunteer after her death. I had become one of the ‘Old Parsonage family’, and I still am, visiting each Thursday morning for two to three hours for a social morning. I also join other volunteers in making sure the dining tables always have fresh flowers.”
How our volunteers make a difference:
“Our volunteers are very attentive, kind, thoughtful and make our time together enjoyable.”
