Brendoncare Alton is a warm, welcoming care home, situated in a busy Hampshire market town with a thriving local community, where compassion and kindness puts residents at the heart of everything.
Joining Brendoncare Alton as its Registered Manager in February 2022 was the best decision of my career.
My career in care began after I moved to England in 2011 from my native Estonia where I went to university. After working as a carer, a care team leader and deputy manager, I became a CQC Registered Manager in 2018.
Making our care home a vibrant place for residents, their families and the wonderful team working here is always my main priority. I also love welcoming the local community here for events and activities, which always brings a sociable atmosphere to the care home and enriches the lives of our residents.

There are 80 single ensuite nursing and dementia bedrooms at Brendoncare Alton.
All our bedrooms, decorated to a high standard, have a 24-hour nurse call system while wheelchair accessible showers and assisted bathrooms are located close by.
Our nursing home consists of five self-contained households, so every resident feels safe living in a home-like atmosphere within the small family units. Each household has spacious, welcoming sitting and dining rooms, and a small kitchen.
Residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with their own furniture and belongings that bring familiarity and comfort to their home.
Guest rooms are also available for overnight visitors.
Our care home provides nursing, dementia, residential, respite and end of life care.
Residents receive personalised care services tailored to their individual needs, delivered by our experienced nurses and carers who are available 24 hours a day.
Nursing care offers support to those requiring regular nursing due to complex needs such as physical illnesses or medical conditions.
Our trained staff provide dedicated dementia care in a safe environment.
Respite care gives short-term support to those recovering from an illness, hospital stay, or when carers take a break, and this can be booked up to 3 months in advance.
End of life (palliative) care supports those in the last months or years of their lives enabling them to continue living with dignity.
Our care home was recently refurbished to a high standard, creating a warm, welcoming place where residents and their guests can meet and relax.
The atrium is one of our home’s key features, which, together with a range of lounge and dining areas, offers an airy communal meeting place. Outside, large landscaped gardens are full of sunny and shady spots for outdoor dining and soaking up the sun.
A hairdressing salon, shop and library with large print and audio books are also available to residents.
Food and drink are an important part of the residents’ day. Our catering team works closely with residents and staff to accommodate specific likes and dislikes, dietary and allergy requirements or cultural/spiritual needs.
Our varied menus always include healthy, wholesome, appetising food, with snacks and drinks available anytime. We have the top food hygiene rating of 5 from the Food Standards Agency.
Residents can entertain their guests in either the restaurant or coffee shop.
Our wellbeing coordinators focus solely on supporting the quality of life for each resident. They organise a varied range of activities from fitness and craft sessions to quizzes, board games and manicures.
They also arrange activities on special occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, Mothers’ Day, Easter and Christmas.
